Today we
visited the Primary School Mehlingen. There are about 180 students in 9 classes
and 12 teachers in 2 buildings. They have grade 1-4 in the age of 6 to 10
years. The lessons for the grade 1 and 2 students end at 12.05 h, those for
grade 3 and 4 at 13.05 h. But it is possible to stay in school till 16.00 h
from Monday to Thursday. In this whole day program the students eat together in
the canteen, then they do their homework (assisted by a teacher) and then there
are all kind of workshops.
